Liz Hoefner Adamis
Maud Comboul
Liz Hoefner Adamis is a choreographer, director, dancer, writer and sometimes actress who makes original dance theater works, dances with others, choreographs musicals and plays well with others. Since receiving her MFA degree in dance and choreography from CalArts, Liz has been presented nationally and internationally and her latest solo works include collaborations with renowned cellists Brent Samuel and Maggie Edmondson, filmmaker Taso Papadakis and light designer Brandon Baruch. Adamis has received seven Lester Horton Dance Award nominations in the categories of choreography, performance, music and design and she was a recipient of the Margaret Jenkin’s Dance Company’s CHIME grant with director and mentor Nancy Keystone (CRITICAL MASS PERFORMANCE GROUP). She has danced for many and with many and is grateful for the years spent in the dance communities of Los Angeles and New York City. Liz worked extensively with her late husband (singer, composer and multi-instrumentalist Yorgos Adamis) and she continues this collaborative spirit with her greatest accomplishment – her daughter Niamh Adamis who is following in her father’s musical footsteps.
Vannia Ibarguen
Maud began her dance training at the Regional Conservatory of Music and Dance in Nice, France, before moving to Los Angeles to specialize in contemporary release technique. Throughout her career, she has performed works by modern pioneers like Charles Weidman and Mary Wigman, as well as with Liz Hoefner’s Immediate Action Dance. Now based in Oregon, Maud currently performs and collaborates with the Bend Contemporary Dance company.
Sinnamon Hauser
Sinnamon is an educator and choreographer with decades of experience in psychology, dance, and wellness. A specialist in contemporary technique and healthy alignment, she has performed and collaborated with various artists in Southern California and currently is a member of the Bend Contemporary Dance Company in Bend, Oregon. Her teaching integrates dance, Pilates, and Yoga at institutions including COCC, Central Oregon School of Ballet, and Tula Movement Arts.
Marisa Malzone
Vannia Ibarguen, MFA is an award-winning choreographer, performer, and educator specializing in body awareness, somatic practices, and dance technology. She is the Artistic Director of VIDA Vannia Ibarguen Dance Arts and Global Water Dances, a worldwide initiative using dance to raise environmental awareness. A Certified Movement Analyst and Yoga Teacher, Vannia has earned international accolades, including the NDEO Excellence in Education Award. She currently serves as dance faculty at Cerritos College, a California Dance Education Association board member, and an Arts Council for Long Beach Professional Fellow.
Paula Present
Marisa grew up in the world of classical ballet and discovered modern dance while a student at New York university. She has danced professionally in NYC and boulder Colorado and now bend Oregon where she is currently a dancer and choreographer with Bend Contemporary Dance Company.
As a Certified Nutrition Specialist with a focus on hormone and mental health, she has a passion for helping women discover the power of creativity as a healing tool.
Kindra Windish
Kindra began dancing in her parent’s backyard. After graduating from the backyard and the University of Oregon, Kindra. moved to NYC where she received her Masters in Dance and Dance Education from NYU. Kindra has had the pleasure of dancing with many wonderful people among them are Douglas Dunn, Vannia Ibarguen, Rebecca Lazier, and Christopher Williams. Kindra has presented her choreographic works in NYC and LA. Kindra currently teaches K-12 Dance at Chadwick School.
Paula has been dancing and performing for almost 3 decades. She is thrilled to be dancing still in middle age, and with these amazing ladies.
